A prompt to encourage your practice of creativity this week from Riversider and local author Larry Burns.
Riverside schools are set to dominate the CIF Southern Section Winter Championships, with Arlington High's remarkable 21-0 boys soccer season taking center stage
CIF Southern Section has set the pairings for winter sports championships, and plenty of Riverside schools are participating. These events are open to the public, and the participants would love to have you pack the venues. Go cheer on the local squads during cross-town clashes and when teams travel from out of town.
Special mention goes to Arlington High School Boys Soccer, who have put together a truly elite season with a 21-0 record and 100 goals scored to 3 goals against differential. They will compete in the open division bracket against the best programs in the LA area.
These are the first-round matchups; you can find the active brackets on CIF's website for all of the sports so you can follow the local teams as they compete to be the best in Southern California.
We wish all of our local athletes the best of luck and hope we get to cheer you on deep into the playoffs.
