College and prep Spring sports enter the postseason in final competitions before summer recess.

Hundreds of athletes from six schools will compete at Wheelock Field in the second weekend of the Orange Empire Conference Finals. RCC performed well last weekend; the men’s and women’s teams entered Friday’s competition with team leads. Field events begin at 10 a.m., and running competitions start at 3 p.m. Athletes compete to move on to 3C2A Southern California and State competitions in May.
Wheelock Stadium and Field is on the Riverside City College campus at 4800 Magnolia. Admission is free, and parking is available for purchase in marked lots. A full schedule of events can be found here.
Ramona, North, Woodcrest Christian, and Poly’s boys’ volleyball teams start postseason competition this weekend. Poly hosts Liberty on Friday, 4/26, at 7 p.m., Ramona hosts Arrowhead Christian (TBA), North plays at Santa Ana Valley (TBA), and Woodcrest Christian is waiting for a result in a wildcard match for their opponent. Softball, baseball, lacrosse, and boys’ tennis brackets will be drawn over the next week and can be found here once they are live.
