Riverside College and Career Fair

Cost: Free
High school students grades 9-12 are welcome to attend and bring their friends and families. Students will have the chance to attend live in-person workshops, take advantage of educational and career resources, and speak to over 180 college and career representatives.

Dreamscape, written and directed by Rickerby Hinds

Even two-plus decades after the police shooting of Tyisha Miller in Riverside, there are lessons to be had. Join us on Friday, September 30, for Dreamscape, a hip-hop play based on her story. Tyisha Miller’s death in 1998 sparked civil rights protests and triggered police reforms to root out racism. The performance includes a welcome from Riverside Mayor Patricia Lock-Dawson and a post-performance discussion by local leaders, including the playwright, Rickerby Hinds, a UCR theater professor.

First Sundays is a seasonal series of free family programs featuring different activities for children and teens at six different locations in downtown: Riverside Metropolitan Museum, Mission Inn Museum, Riverside Art Museum, Riverside Public Library, UCR ArtsBlock and the Center for Social Justice and Civil Liberties! The program is made possible through the collaborative efforts of all locations involved, as well as the sponsorship of the Riverside Arts Council.
