Even two-plus decades after the police shooting of Tyisha Miller in Riverside, there are lessons to be had. Join us on Friday, September 30, for Dreamscape, a hip-hop play based on her story. Tyisha Miller’s death in 1998 sparked civil rights protests and triggered police reforms to root out racism. The performance includes a welcome from Riverside Mayor Patricia Lock-Dawson and a post-performance discussion by local leaders, including the playwright, Rickerby Hinds, a UCR theater professor.
