Ward 1 Townhall Tour — City Hall is hitting the road this month. Catch the Senior Townhall on Tuesday, September 1 at 11 a.m. at Stratton Community Center at Bordwell Park, or the Business Townhall on Wednesday, September 2 at 2 p.m. at the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce. Come with your questions, leave with a few new neighbors.
Water Smarts 101 — Western Municipal Water District's quarterly workshop returns Saturday, September 19 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Learn how to trim your outdoor water use, tighten up irrigation, and swap thirsty turf for something more climate-friendly. Free, but space is limited, so register ahead.

Orange Street Mural Unveiling — The Museum of Riverside and Division 9 Gallery are turning a construction fence into nine artist-designed panels along the Orange Street Pedestrian Walkway. Meet the muralists, including gallery owner Cosme Cordova and more, at the unveiling on Thursday, September 3 from 6 to 9 p.m. Free and family-friendly, with light refreshments while they last.
Moon Festival — Heritage House marks the harvest with moon cakes, lantern light, and lion dance on Friday, September 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. Expect storytelling, Chinese calligraphy demos, and a visit from UCR's astronomy club for some moon viewing of the celestial kind. Free to attend.
Butterfly Mosaic Workshop — Mission Inn Foundation's mosaic series continues Sunday, September 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This round, you'll build a flowerpot instead of a stepping stone. $100 gets you all materials, a light lunch, and a few hours of hands-on creativity. No experience needed, but spots go fast.
Remnants of a Century-Old Japantown — Riverside Main Library hosts a talk on Historic Wintersburg, a rare surviving piece of early Japanese American history in Huntington Beach, on Thursday, September 24 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Attorney and preservationist H. Ernie Nishii walks through the site's story and what's next for it. Free.

The Front Bottoms: 11 Years of Back On Top — The band brings its anniversary tour to Riverside Municipal Auditorium on Thursday, September 24. Doors at 7, show at 8. All ages welcome, everyone needs a ticket.
Mucho Gusto Festival — North Park turns into a full day of music on Saturday, September 19 from 3 to 11 p.m., headlined by Plenazo Tribe and Luna Luna, with a lineup deep enough to keep you moving all evening.
