The 30th Annual Walk with the Animals – Riverside’s only dog walk – to return April 30 at Fairmount Park.

The event, which is the most important fundraising effort that supports the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center, helps provide care for homeless animals serviced by the center.

Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center will bring back an in-person Walk with the Animals Saturday, April 30 at Fairmont Park to celebrate the event’s 30th anniversary.

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., participants can join MSRPAC for a walk around Lake Evans for its largest fundraising event of the year and the only major dog walk in Riverside.

According to an announcement, the event will be packed with various outdoor activities, including a beer garden, kids zone, a vendor village featuring food options for pets and pet owners, and an on-site raffle.

Walk with the Animals will also include a pop-up dog park and multiple pet contests.

General registration to the event is $40. Participants can sign up online as individuals or create a team with friends and family to fundraise as a group. To help with the fundraising process and with managing their personal fundraising page, participants will have access to donation tracking tips, shareable social media graphics and printable thank you letters.

At the event, registered walkers will also receive a commemorative t-shirt and be provided a ticket for a pancake breakfast to start the morning.

All the money raised with Walk with the Animals is used by MSRPAC to help support local animals in need and further its mission to create a more humane Riverside. Because of that, the center relies on the support provided in part by volunteers, donors, sponsors and event participants.

Businesses, vendors and other groups can sign up here to be a vendor or sponsor at this year’s event.
