Free Wednesday night concert series kicks off June 11 with Stone Soul Motown tribute.
Summer nights just got better in Riverside as the beloved “Summer Concerts in the Park” series returns to Fairmount Park starting Wednesday, June 11. The free, family-friendly event has become a cherished community tradition, drawing crowds of Riversiders who come to dance, sing and celebrate under the sunset.
The City of Riverside Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department presents six themed concerts running every Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. through July 23, with the exception of July 2:
The concerts feature more than just music. Local food vendors offer a taste of Riverside’s culinary scene, while the Riverside Community Services Foundation hosts a beer garden. The Altura Power Hour, sponsored by Altura Credit Union, adds extra entertainment value.
“Bring a blanket or beach chair to enjoy an evening at Fairmount Park,” organizers recommend. The park, located at 2601 Fairmount Blvd., fills with families dancing and singing along, creating the kind of shared community experience that defines summer in Riverside.
More information: All concerts are free and open to the public. Attendees are advised to confirm events before going, as outdoor concerts are subject to weather and other factors.
