Annual cultural event returns April 26 to Villegas Park with entertainment, food, and family activities.
The City of Riverside will hold its annual Cinco de Mayo celebration on Saturday, April 26, from noon to 8 PM at Villegas Park in the historic Casa Blanca neighborhood. This 116th celebration honors one of California's oldest Latino communities and its rich cultural heritage.
The event, organized in partnership with the Villegas Park Advisory Committee, will feature live entertainment, food vendors, and family-friendly activities that showcase the traditions of the community. Visitors can enjoy a full day of music, dancing, and food while learning about Casa Blanca's contributions to Riverside's cultural landscape.
Casa Blanca's legacy of community involvement and dedication to education continues through this celebration at Villegas Park and the Ysmael Villegas Center, which have long served as central gathering places for the neighborhood. These venues continue to play a vital role in preserving and celebrating the area's cultural identity.
The Riverside Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, which manages over 50 parks and recreational spaces throughout the city, invites residents of all ages to join this festive cultural celebration. The department remains committed to creating inclusive community events that promote health, engagement, and cultural appreciation.
