Michael J. Elderman Covid portraits
Like so many during the pandemic, Michael J. Elderman turned boredom and isolation into a catalyst for creativity. He sought out local creatives and kindred spirits who refused to let the pandemic kill their spirits. He made a series of portraits that capture the quietness of the moment and the energy bubbling beneath the surface, ready to escape.
The portrait series will be displayed at the RCAA Gallery on Lemon during the Artswalk.
Inspired by the newest RAM exhibition (In) Visible Threads from Artist Kandy G Lopez, participants will wrap yarn around their choice of wood block letters, taking inspiration from the entry show title in the gallery.
