Lee takes RUSD Area 5 lead, Hernandez Alexander leads Area 1, Alvord Area 1 remains tight.

Election night vote counting for races across the city is complete but the results are not yet final. With one candidate leading by less than 10 votes, the next updated results, which will be posted at 6:00 pm on Wednesday November 9, are eagerly anticipated.

According to the County Registrar  of Voters, approximately 325,000 Vote-by-Mail and 10,000 Provisional ballots remain to be processed alongside ballots that are postmarked on or before Election Day. Work on those begins Wednesday morning.

Riverside USD Area 1

Noemi Hernandez Alexander leads Andrew Woodard and Duffy Atkinson on Tuesday, Nov 8 in the first results of the battle for RUSD’s Area 1 board seat. The winner will step into the position that Kathy Allavie has held since 2005.

RUSD Area 5 incumbent Brent Lee leads opponent Paula Truelock by over 1,000 votes.

Alvord USD Area 1

In the race for Alvord USD, Wendel Tucker held as a slim lead most of the night, but Georgina Ramirez now leads by only nine votes. Gil Oceguera trails for the Area 1 seat replacing Joanna Dorado who has served on the Board since 2019.

Alvord Measure J

Alvord voters are backing Measure J with 3,190 votes in favor of the $248m bond to upgrade schools in the district. 2,335 opposed.
