The Art Alliance will hold its fall fundraiser, “The Art of Celebration!,” at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Riverside Art Museum, 3425 Mission Inn Ave.
The volunteer group raises money to help fund the museum’s operations, so ticket sales and auction bids from the evening go toward supporting the museum.
Organizers have set the event up as an interactive cocktail party, with local artists and business owners leading demonstrations throughout the night. Local artist Elisabeth Girke will demonstrate printmaking, and Andrea Mario Palagi, owner of Art’s Bar and Grill, will teach cocktail making.
Rob Arbagey of More Beer, More Wine will talk about home brewing, and Lupita Garcia of Blooms by Lupita and her sister Jackie will show guests how to arrange flowers.
Doug Earley will play saxophone during the evening. Guests can choose from wine, a signature cocktail or beer donated by local breweries Carbon Nation and Route 30 Brewing Company, and Two Trees Kitchen will serve appetizers.
The evening also includes an Art Alliance sale featuring original works by members and their family and friends, along with a silent auction.
“For this year’s event, the Art Alliance wanted to shake things up and create a celebration that feels lively, social, and full of surprises,” Fall Fundraiser Chairperson Judith Runyon said in a statement. “It’s a chance to sip, mingle, see creativity unfold, and discover something unexpected around every corner.”
The Art Alliance was founded in 1965 by 12 women and today is run by volunteer members.
“Our mission remains as steadfast as ever: to dream up, support, and take part in activities that benefit the Riverside Art Museum and help fund its operations,” Art Alliance President Karen Karlsson said in a statement.
Tickets are $50 per person or $40 for designated drivers. Details on tickets and sponsorships are available on the Raincross Gazette community calendar.
