Renowned aerobatic pilot Vicky Benzing will join the aerial performance line-up at the Southern California Air Show at the March Air Reserve Base in Riverside on April 22-23. Vicky is one of only a few female performers on the airshow circuit today and one of only two active Stearman demonstration pilots in the US.

Vicky’s performance in her iconic bright red Stearman is an aerial display of power and grace in the spirit of vintage barnstorming. Loops and rolls, low and slow, with lots of smoke and noise, Vicky’s Stearman performance is always a crowd favorite. A trainer by design, Vicky’s 1940 Boeing Stearman literally trained hundreds of pilots to fly during World War II.

The Southern California Air Show at the March Air Reserve Base in Riverside, CA is an action-packed weekend of awe-inspiring aerial displays and family-friendly activities. The event will be headlined by the Thunderbirds, the U.S. Air Force’s premier air demonstration squadron. The Thunderbirds’ performance will display the precision and professionalism of the Air Force while demonstrating the capabilities of the Air Force’s F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jet.

Free to the public, the air show also features aerial performances by the Patriots Jet Team, the Canadian Skyhawks Parachute Team, award-winning Kent Pietsch and the Jelly Belly airplane, John Collver in his T6 Texan “War Dog,” Sammy Mason in the Edge 540, the Dawn Patrol Formation Team, Ed Hamill and Anthony Oshinuga in their Pitts Specials, and multiple U.S. Air Force fly-by demonstrations. On the ground, attendees can enjoy static displays of aircraft, as well as a variety of food and craft vendors.
