Hello Riverside, and Happy Day after the 2024 election! Thank you to every one of you who voted in this election. The Gazette exists to increase neighborliness in Riverside, and thoughtfully participating in the democratic process, especially in our local elections, is a significant way to impact your community. A few quick notes for today:

If you need support processing your feelings about the election, today is National Nachos Day! Amy recommends Heroes’ Restaurant & Brewery’s Chili Nachos.
We are working on our second annual guide to shopping locally for the holidays. If you have any favorite locally owned spots where you always buy gifts, please email tips@raincrossgazette.com to make sure they are on our radar; you can visit last year's guide for reference.
Our second annual Reader Survey remains open for six more days. We've had 234 responses so far and are 50 away from last year's responses. Your feedback helps us chart a course to better serve you in 2025, and your anonymous demographic info helps us tell advertisers the kinds of Riversiders reading The Gazette, which lets us keep it free! Each subscriber who completes the survey can be entered in a giveaway to win a gift basket with a $100 gift card from Ampersand Gifts and Goods in the Riverside Plaza.
