Riverside Dog Bakery Raises Funds for Rescue Animals with Valentine's Cake Sale

Three Dog Bakery in Riverside is running its annual Valentine's Day fundraiser to benefit local rescue dogs, offering heart-shaped cakes for pets while supporting animals still waiting for homes.

Through Feb. 14, the bakery will donate $10 from every Valentine's cake sold to Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center. The cakes retail for $39.99 and feature dog-safe ingredients with pink frosting.

"Dogs bring out the best in people, and Riverside proves that every single day," said Danielle Bolbach, owner of Three Dog Bakery – Riverside. "We love baking healthy treats that make tails wag, and partnering with Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center lets us spread that love even further. Every Valentine's cake is a little moment of joy for your pup and a big moment of hope for a rescue dog."

The fundraiser comes as Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center cares for dogs like Camo (pictured), a 1-year-old, 52-pound male who has been available for adoption since Dec. 30.

Last year's fundraiser helped raise awareness and support for local rescues, and Bolbach said this year's goal is to make an even bigger impact.

"Our partnership with Three Dog Bakery – Riverside helps shine a spotlight on adoptable animals and brings much-needed resources to the shelter," said the team at Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center. "We're grateful for this Valentine tradition and the generosity of the local pet community."

Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center is a nonprofit organization providing care, rehabilitation and adoption services for homeless animals throughout the Riverside region.
