Riverside Police and Police Foundation are sponsoring free swim sessions on Wednesdays

Riverside City public pools opening on June 10

Riverside City Parks and Recreation's Summer aquatics programs start on Monday, June 10. City pools offer an excellent chance to cool off and get a little exercise.

Programs for youth and adults of all skill levels, as well as adaptive lessons, are available. On Wednesdays, Riverside Police and the Riverside Police Foundation will sponsor open swim sessions with no admission charge. Regular open swim sessions are on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:30-3:30 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-8:30 p.m.

  • Islander Park - 3794 Mt. Vernon Rd.
  • Reid Park - 701 N. Orange St.
  • Shamel Park - 3650 Arlington Ave.
  • Sippy Woodhead/Bobby Bonds Park - 2060 University Ave.
  • Villegas Park - 3091 Esperanza St.

All pools are ADA accessible.

  • June 12 Sippy Woodhead 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
  • June 26 Hunt 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
  • July 3 Reid 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
  • July 10 Arlington 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
  • July 17 Islander 1:30 p.m.- 3:30 p.m.
  • July 24 Villegas 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
  • July 31 Reid 1:30 p.m.- 3:30 p.m.
  • August 7 Sippy Woodhead 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
