Kaylee, a Riverside native, is proud to carry on a family legacy of soccer rooted at California Baptist University, where both parents once played. Guided by faith and the values instilled by her family, she has built her career on discipline, leadership, and hard work. Her athletic journey began with Legends FC, where her love for the game deepened under the mentorship of Coach Bryan Kuderman and her father, Jason Hauck. She went on to play at Martin Luther King High School, where winning the CIF Championship as a junior and earning Player of the Year were career highlights. Later, she joined Sporting California ECNL before committing to CBU, where she continues to excel as a student-athlete. Along the way, friendships forged at UCR, strong mentorship, and Riverside’s supportive soccer community shaped her into the leader she is today. Grateful for her city, her family, and her faith, she plays every match with pride for Riverside and with the goal of inspiring the next generation.
What does Riverside mean to you as an athlete? To me, Riverside is more than just a place, it’s where my journey began. It’s the community that supported me from the very start, whether it was coaches who believed in me, teammates who pushed me, or family and friends who never missed a game. Riverside has a special athletic culture, and being part of it has taught me the importance of giving back and representing the city with pride. Every time I step on the field, I carry Riverside with me because it’s where I learned resilience, leadership and the importance of grounding my dreams in faith.
What was your first team or organization you played in here in Riverside? My first team in Riverside was Legends FC, where I was coached by Bryan Kuderman with my dad as his assistant. That team was the starting point of my competitive soccer journey. Playing for Legends taught me what it meant to commit to the sport at a higher level. Having both Bryan and my dad as coaches gave me technical skills, game knowledge, and life lessons that I still carry with me today.
Who was the coach, mentor, or teammate in Riverside who had the biggest impact on you? I’ve had many amazing coaches, but the biggest impact has been my dad. He’s been there every step of the way, driving me to practices, traveling with me for tournaments, and sharing both the tough and fun moments of being an athlete. He taught me how to lead with integrity, outwork everyone else, and push through challenges, while always encouraging me to shine in my own way. His mix of tough love and unwavering support has shaped me as both a player and a person.
What’s the most memorable game or moment you’ve had as an athlete representing a team from Riverside? The most memorable moment so far has been making history as the first CBU women’s soccer team to win the Division 1 WAC Tournament. That game was everything we worked for, exhausting, emotional, and rewarding. What made it even more meaningful was what came after. We put on shirts that said “Jesus Saves,” and it felt like our hard work was about more than soccer. It was about glorifying God with the platform we were given. That’s a moment I’ll never forget.
If you could play one more game or match at a Riverside venue, which would it be? If I could play one more game, it would absolutely be at the CBU Soccer Stadium. The field is beautifully maintained, the fans create an incredible atmosphere, and the CBU community always shows up with so much energy. Coaching youth girls at Albion and then seeing them in the stands cheering for us has made playing there even more special. It feels like a full-circle moment, inspiring the next generation the way I was once inspired.
If you could put one message on a billboard on the 91 to inspire the next generation of Riverside athletes, what would it be? Work hard, stay faithful and trust God’s timing, it’s always perfect.
Finally, tell us what you’re working on right now—whether it’s your current season, a personal project, or a cause you’d like readers to support. Right now, I’m in my senior season at CBU, which makes this year incredibly meaningful. It’s the last chapter of my college soccer career, and I want to make the most of every moment on and off the field. I’d love for the community to come out and support me and my teammates. The energy from the stands means everything to us, and it’s such a blessing to play in front of family, friends, and fans who believe in what we’re building here at CBU.
