Saturday, May 10 | 2:00 - 11:00 p.m. | North Park, 3200 Mission Inn Avenue
The biggest Banda festival in Riverside returns to North Park for a special Mother's Day weekend celebration. This all-ages event features live banda music, food, and community festivities. La Tardeada has quickly become one of Riverside's most anticipated cultural music events.
The Farm House Collective, Riverside's exciting new venue housed in a repurposed historic motel on University Avenue, has put together an impressive lineup of soul, funk, and Latin music for May. The venue has quickly established itself as a premier destination for music lovers since opening in March 2025.
Standout performer É Arenas (May 23) brings his unique blend of psychedelic cumbia and soul to Riverside fresh from his acclaimed performances at the Mucho Gusto Festival, where he was a founding headliner. As a member of the celebrated band Chicano Batman, Arenas helped pioneer the "música sin fronteras" (music without borders) movement that has energized Southern California's music scene.
Music aficionados will also appreciate that several Farm House Collective performers this month—including Los Yesterdays (May 10), soul legend Lee Fields (May 24), and Vicky Tafoya—are connected to the renowned Penrose/Daptone Records family. Penrose was founded in Riverside by Gabriel Roth of Daptone Records fame, creating a home for the region's thriving "souldies" scene that blends classic soul with modern sensibilities.
