Mission Inn for sale a $85 million, Go Go Bird opens at Farmhouse Collective
Chef Brandon Kida's restaurant features Szechuan-spiced tenders and offers discounts for UCR students and faculty.
Chef Brandon Kida opens Go Go Bird at the Farm House Collective on Saturday, Nov. 22, bringing Los Angeles-inspired fried chicken to the University Avenue corridor.
The 23-seat restaurant features chicken tenders, wings and sandwiches marinated in a proprietary blend and finished with Szechuan-style chili oil. Sides include house-made mac salad, coleslaw and french fries. UC Riverside students and faculty receive exclusive discounts.
"We are proud to open Go Go Bird at Farm House Collective and join the Riverside community," Kida said.
The restaurant occupies Suite 105 at 1393 University Ave., a reimagined 1950s motel that opened in March and continues adding tenants. Go Go Bird joins a growing mix of food, retail and entertainment vendors at the collective.
Go Go Bird is open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to midnight.
Since opening earlier this year, the collective has steadily filled its suites with local businesses offering dining, shopping and community gathering spaces.
Bar Ni Modo serves craft cocktails and elevated plates inspired by Oaxaca and Mexico City. The Arcade Coffee Roasters concept features mezcal and tequila drinks alongside dishes highlighting Mexican spices and culinary techniques.
Batter Rebellion, owned by Steven and Jennifer Kramer, offers meals, cocktails and entertainment for date nights, family gatherings and parties. The restaurant emphasizes creating an inclusive atmosphere for all visitors.
Benedetto Gelato brings authentic Italian gelato made fresh daily by husband-and-wife team Maresa and Andres. The shop works with Maestro Gelatero Maximiliano Macarrone, a Gelato World Cup judge.
Blue Bowl, a veteran-owned business, specializes in custom-made acai bowls. The shop has built a following throughout Southern California for its superfood offerings.
Bricks and Birch serves wood-fired pizzas with toppings ranging from Maine lobster to Kalua pig. The restaurant also offers pastries, salads and Stumptown coffee drinks.
Cold One Beer Garden provides craft beer in an outdoor setting with live music. The space incorporates the motel's 1950s design with modern amenities for working or watching games.
Ga-Tang specializes in Filipino rice bowls featuring authentic dishes from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The restaurant focuses on elevated all-in-one meals using fresh ingredients.
Eco Now offers sustainable home and body products including locally sourced, non-toxic and refillable items. Products range from laundry soap to shampoo and conditioner.
Pocket Change showcases thrifted finds, handcrafted goods and art from more than 40 California artists. The pop-up store rotates inventory to feature different local creators.
Rat City sells new and used vinyl records across genres including rock, jazz, soul and punk. Staff assist customers in finding albums and discovering lesser-known recordings.
Rooted in Love transitioned from a mobile plant business to a permanent Farm House Collective location. The shop carries houseplants, succulents and decorative pots.
