The Deaf Community of Riverside will present its 26th Annual DeaFestival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20 at City Hall's breezeway, 3900 Main St.

The free event coincides with International Week of the Deaf, celebrated globally during the last full week of September to promote human rights through sign languages and increase awareness of Deaf culture and achievements.

The festival will feature American Sign Language performances, Deaf-owned business vendors, food offerings and family activities. Attendees can explore Deaf culture and heritage, learn about sign language as a human right, discover local resources including ASL classes, and understand how to support improved access to education and technology for the Deaf community.
