Hello Riverside, and Happy Tuesday! Hereโ€™s something cool: at this yearโ€™s Riverside College & Career Fair on October 22, Keep Riverside Clean and Beautiful along with the Greater Riverside Chamber of Commerce will host a Business Closet where students and community members can pick up free business attire, get a professional headshot and walk away better prepared for interviews and opportunities. Donations of new or gently used clothing are being accepted now through October 15 at the Chamber office on University Avenue. Your contribution could be the boost someone needs to step into their future with confidence!

It may not feel like fall, but fall sports are in full swing this September. CBU and UCR face off in the Crosstown Showdown, taking on extra significance as CBU prepares to join the Big West Conference in 2026. September is packed with home games across Riverside, from soccer and volleyball to cross country, offering exciting opportunities to support local athletes.

Arts and culture offerings are just as full, from Division 9 Gallery taking over the Riverside Art Museum to live jazz performances, festivals, and community events at the Farmhouse Collective and the Mission Inn Foundation. Free Summer Sundays wrap up at RAM and The Cheech, making it a perfect month to explore everything Riverside has to offer.

The room was packed beyond capacity. Fifty people were left outside, unable to squeeze anyone else into what was supposed to be a simple Saturday talk about Riverside's punk rock history. Dixon is Riverside's most unlikely social media influencer. By day, he works as a plumber and was once featured as a Gazette Neighbor of the Week. By evening, he researches local history with the dedication of a graduate student. His approach to both has made him enormously popular online, but not for the usual reasons.
