City Council
City Council will meet in closed and open sessions on Tuesday, July 2, in an afternoon session at 1:00 p.m. (agenda). The agenda includes:
Authorizing up to $1.7 million for pool improvements at Shamel, Hunt, Reid, and Villegas Parks.
Transportation Board
The Transportation Board meets on Wednesday, July 3, at 5:30 p.m. (agenda) to consider eliminating permit-required street parking on Ferguson Court near La Sierra High School and on 11th Street downtown.
City Council will hold a public hearing for the 347-unit Mission Grove Apartments project on the site of the vacant K-Mart site in the Mission Grove Plaza and look for options to participate in the 2028 Olympics.
City Council set to consider a 23-unit affordable housing project in La Sierra, a 24-station electric vehicle charging hub at the Riverside Airport, and the $2.4 million purchase of electric trucks for its fleet.
City Council does not meet this week. Potentially stricter rules for industrial development near neighborhoods and a review of the City’s homelessness outreach and cleanup spending are on committee and commission agendas this week.
