The Housing and Homelessness Committee (Councilmembers Cervantes, Mill, and Robillard) meets on Monday, Jan. 7, at 3:30 p.m. (agenda) to consider launching a safe parking program, building on successful models from other California cities that provide secure overnight parking and support services for residents living in their vehicles.
The Board of Public Utilities meets on Monday, Jan. 27, at 6:30 p.m. (agenda) to consider a $2.18M infrastructure upgrade replacing aging water mains, review RPU's 2024 audit report, and consider a new $4.8M battery storage contract to strengthen future power reliability.
The Commission on Aging meets on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 4:00 p.m. (agenda) and will celebrate 50 years of city transportation services dedicated to serving Riverside's senior and disabled residents.
