Students at Riverside City College (RCC) now have access to a state-of-the-art Makerspace to explore their creativity and collaborate with peers. The Makerspace in the Digital Library and Learning Resource Center is open to all RCC students, faculty, and staff.

The Makerspace is equipped with a variety of professional tools and resources, including Makerbot and Formlab 3D printers, a Laser Cutter/Engraver, a Cricut Maker, Autopress, a Kamodo-6K camera, sewing machines, hand tools, and more. Visitors can get hands-on experience and create projects ranging from crafting personalized keychains and earrings to designing custom buttons and decorating notebooks.

“We are thrilled to unveil the Riverside City College Makerspace--a dynamic hub of innovation, creativity, and exploration,” said Claire Oliveros, RCC President. “This space embodies our commitment to empowering students with the skills, knowledge, and experiences they need to thrive in an ever-evolving society.”

The Makerspace tools are available for free, allowing students across the Riverside Community College District to create without financial constraints.
