Gram Worthy Picks
A prompt to encourage your practice of creativity this week from Riversider and local author Larry Burns.
Each week, we will introduce a new neighbor. This is not a who's who list. These are regular Riversiders doing exceptional things.
Amy L贸pez moved to Riverside in 2016. She may not have the Riverside rust and dust like many of you out there but her love for the city and the people of Riverside is real. Amy cherishes the small town in a big city package Riverside offers and has jumped into the community with both feet. Amy is the editor of the All Saints Episcopal Church newsletter.
We know Amy, at The Raincross Gazette, as the newest member of our staff. In the short time she has been around she has proven to be a needed anchor for an editorial staff that tends to want to float away. She has taken on the nuts and bolts with expertise and authority, making what we do easier and better. This Neighbor of the Week is a way for you all to get to know Amy. Welcome her to the Gazette, and tell her hello if you see her on Mt. Rubidoux!
What is your Mt. Rubidoux summit count (estimated)? About 100 times; It's one of my favorite places to clear my head before beginning a busy day!
What is the most beautiful building in Riverside? I can't choose just one! I really enjoy going on a bike ride with my husband through downtown, Banker's Row, and meandering through the neighborhoods, admiring the amazing history within our town's structures.
The Festival of Lights: Every year on opening night or maybe on a Tuesday? Every Friday night!
What is your go-to sandwich in town? Heroes Restaurant & Brewery's Jay Bird Chicken Sandwich.
What is your idea of a perfect weekend day in Riverside? One option for a perfect Saturday morning would be a tandem bike ride to the farmers market for flowers and fresh blueberries followed by breakfast at Art's Bar & Grill and a little shopping on the way home.
