Jump-start your Labor Day weekend with September ArtsWalk. We find ourselves, again, in the privileged position of having much more going on than can be done in the few hours allowed. Division 9 is especially busy. The local gallery makes the list twice with a mural unveiling on Orange and a takeover of the Riverside Art Museum’s Julia Morgan building with Mucho Gusto. Make sure to visit Pain Sugar and see some of the best local photographers on display in the Tim Aguilar-curated Out of Focus II. It’s ok if you can’t catch everything; bring a friend, take your time, spend a little money, have fun.

- Gucho Musto, a Mucho Gusto takeover of the museum, presented with Division 9 Gallery. 6 to 9 p.m.

- Palabra, the open mic poetry series co-hosted by Donato Martinez. Doors at 6 p.m., sign-ups when doors open.

Museum of Riverside / Division 9 Orange St. south of Mission Inn Ave.
- Unveiling of the Orange Street Pedestrian Walkway Mural, 6 to 9 p.m. Nine panels, each in the artist’s own style, along the walkway outside the museum construction site.
- Division 9 owner Cosme Cordova, an artist himself, assembled the group.
- The artists are Amparo Chi, Man One, Silvana “Jeyd” Paredes, Cordova, Zufos Muchas Salamat, Adam Aguilar of More Leaders, ELIDÉ and Deladeso, who also plays the Gucho Musto bill at RAM the same night.
- The ninth panel is a collaboration by four interns: Kelly Zermeño-Diaz, Nicole Favela Suarez, Allison Shellie Favela Suarez and Janeth Carillo.
- The artists will be on hand to talk about the work. Light refreshments, plus museum staff with updates on the construction project and upcoming programs.

- Mid-Autumn Festival lantern making, 6 to 9 p.m. Make your own lantern for the festival.
- The activity is outdoors at the corner, not inside a building.
Pain Sugar Gallery 3635 Ninth St.
- Out of Focus II, a photography show curated by Tim Aguilar, opens at 6 p.m.
- As a contributor to Thrasher Magazine, Aguilar has traveled the world with his camera and his skateboard. His work reflects the joy of someone who gets to chase his passions for a paycheck.
- Twelve photographers: Aidan Campbell, Brian Hunter, Don Luong, McKenna Mobley, Megan Tumbleson, Nathan Rowland, Raymond Alva, Rob Milas, Ryan Townley, Stone Hendrikx, Aguilar and Zach Cordner.
- Turntables by DJ Dropdead and Mr DNA.

- Opening night for Sacred & Sinister runs 6 to 8 p.m. Note the early close, an hour before the rest of ArtsWalk.
- A collection drawn from the sacred, the mysterious and the darker side of Riverside history.
- The exhibit hangs through Nov. 3.
