May ArtsWalk Celebrates Asian American Pacific Islander Month with Inlandia and RCAA Events

Highlight: The Tropicaleiza and Salt dance studios flashmob got pretty wild last year. It’s probably reason enough to get out of the house.

How many ArtsWalk venues can you find in this pic? (Ken Crawford)

I tend to focus on the institutional events in these ArtsWalk guides. I’d like to make sure that I let you all know that the vendors on Main are what keep it going. Take the opportunity to buy something made and crafted by a local artist—a small painting, a keychain, or some earrings. Visit the Downtowne Bookstore or Urge Palette and buy something for yourself or as a gift. The sun goes down late, and the weather should be nice!
