After nearly two years of detours to Downtown, Magnolia Center area residents will finally have their neighborhood post office back when the Sunnyside Drive location reopens Monday, June 30, according to the U.S. Postal Service.

The post office at 3681 Sunnyside Drive has been closed since a fire damaged the building in November 2022, forcing PO Box holders and retail customers to travel to the Downtown Post Office on Orange Street for service.

A reopening ceremony will be held at 9:30 a.m. June 30.

PO Box customers can continue picking up mail at the Downtown Post Office, 3890 Orange St., through 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28. After that, mail will be transferred back to Magnolia Center for pickup beginning at 9:30 a.m. Monday.

The Magnolia Center Post Office will resume regular hours beginning June 30:

  • Monday-Friday: 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Sunday: Closed
