Halloween isnât over until the candy is gone. Letâs keep it going for the weekend. The Poly vs Arlington Varsity game was postponed from Halloween night and rescheduled for tonight. Itâs your last chance to go see a Poly home game at Wheelock for this season.
Donât bother taking Market St. anywhere this weekend. The Day of the Dead celebration will have the street shut down both Saturday and Sunday. I will be at the Riversider Magazine booth. Come visit me.
Riversideâs own, the incredible Jessica Acosta, Riversider cover model two Octobers running, will be at the booth from 6-8pm on Saturday signing posters and magazines.

November is here, and the holiday season is in full swing. Time to get out the sweaters, put snow tires on the car and watch the leaves go from green to a fiery fall mix of reds and oranges. OkâŚprobably not, but there's still plenty of autumnal activity around Riverside, and the Gazette has selected a handful of the best.
The popular event will shut down Market Street this weekend for food, music, cars, and fun.

What started as a few canopies in the parking lot behind The Menagerie has now become one of the biggest Dia De Los Muertos celebrations in California. Cosme Cordova of the Division 9 Gallery started the celebration as a tribute to the Mexican tradition of building ofrendas (altars) for deceased family members as a way of honoring their memory.
The âSugar Skullâ aesthetic grew in popularity and the celebrations began to extend beyond regional and cultural boundaries. The Riverside celebration has grown, this year, to a two day celebration. Saturday and Sunday, November 2 and 3, tens of thousands of visitors are expected to visit the festivities on Market between 14th and Mission Inn.
NCAA Wrestling season is upon us. The Lancers welcome the #30-ranked Indiana Hoosiers. The Hoosiers take their wrestling very seriously, and their fans are notoriously rowdy. The Friday night competition will be in the Fowler Center. Come out and see the show in the big room on Madison and the 91.
High School Girls Flag Football
Two Riverside schools remain in the Flag Football playoffs. Both teams will play away games this weekend. Good luck, Wolves and Huskies.
