Runoff election possible Aug. 26 if no candidate wins majority.
Four candidates are seeking to fill a vacancy in the 63rd Assembly District in a special primary election June 24, with a possible runoff Aug. 26 if no candidate wins more than 50% of the vote.
Active registered voters in Assembly District 63 began receiving vote-by-mail ballots May 27. Voters can return ballots by mail, at secure drop-off locations or in person at vote centers.
The voter registration deadline was June 9, though same-day registration remains available at vote centers through Election Day.
Early voting began May 27 at the Registrar of Voters office. Additional vote centers will open June 14 and June 21. All locations will be open 7 a.m.-8 p.m. on Election Day.
"We're offering more days and ways for you to cast your ballot," said Art Tinoco, Riverside County registrar of voters.
The county offers curbside voting, remote accessible vote-by-mail ballots and specialized voting equipment for voters with disabilities.
