TKDA, a national engineering, architecture and planning firm, is opening a new office at 3880 Lemon St. in Riverside. Employees will begin working from the new space on Oct. 27.

The office is more than double the size of the company's existing location in the region, according to TKDA. It will start with 10 employees and has room to grow, and the firm is currently hiring for several positions in Southern California.

TKDA's work in the Inland Empire has focused on transportation, public works, and industrial and manufacturing projects. The company says the larger office will help it serve current clients, take on new ones and expand its local team.

"The opening of the Riverside office is an early step in a broader effort to deepen relationships and grow alongside Southern California's infrastructure needs," Justino Cruz, TKDA's Southern California regional vice president, said in a statement.

Cruz said the firm plans to support projects ranging from transportation networks to public works facilities and industrial sites.

TKDA CEO Jeff Lipovetz said in a statement that the company sees growing opportunities to partner with communities and businesses in the region. "We're eager to build from there by providing our team more room to grow and serve clients in the years ahead," he said.

Open positions include roles in aviation, mechanical, highway and traffic engineering, as well as transportation planning. The company plans a community open house to show off the new office in spring 2027.

Founded in 1910 in Saint Paul, Minn., TKDA is fully employee owned. Its engineers, architects and planners work across six main areas: mining, industrial and manufacturing, transportation, energy, water, and buildings and sites. The firm also has offices in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area and Duluth, Minn.; Chicago; Milwaukee; and Seattle.
