The annual crosstown rivalry between UC Riverside and California Baptist University’s men’s basketball teams kept the more than 4,000 fans on the edge of their seats as the CBU Lancers edged past the Highlanders to end the game 65-60. Coming into the second half the Lancers were down by 10 but rebounded to take the lead. “There is a brotherhood among this team” said CBU Coach Rick Cory. “We have to improve and get better, but this was a good night.” Both the Lancers and Highlanders have a 5-3 record early in the season.
