The California Baptist University athletics department secured their place at number one school in the nation for NCAA league title wins, tied only with the University of Texas.
The CBU Lancers claimed six 2020-2021 conference championships in men’s and women’s cross country, men’s water polo, STUNT and women’s basketball including their regular and tournament seasons.
“Our quality coaching staff has done an outstanding job this year attaining great success,” said Ron Prettyman, interim director of CBU athletics. “With several conference championships under our belt already this year and several other sports currently competing for championships, this has proven to be a banner year for us.”
