City Council
City Council will meet in closed and open sessions on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. (agenda).
Highlights of items for public discussion.
- A proposal to require contractors and subcontractors of large projects in the city to be validated through the Business Tax Division before construction starts.
- A recommendation to provide Community Connect with $779,948.05 of ARPA Funds to manage a small-business COVID recovery grant program.
- A public hearing following the Planning Commission's approval of a proposal for a 247-unit apartment complex on University Ave.
- Approving the refinance of existing bonds to streamline the City's financial obligations and save money on interest payments.
- Note: last week, we incorrectly reported the RPU Board was seeking a bond issuance, not a refinance.
- Approving the rate increase for residential electric, water, and trash collection rates.
Commission on Aging
