This Week in City Hall: March 11, 2024

City Council

City Council will meet in closed and open sessions on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in afternoon sessions at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. and an evening session at 6:15 p.m. (agenda). The agenda includes:

A potential partnership with the Inland Empire Community Foundation to officially establish the Riverside Nonprofit Resilience Fund with $2.3 million remaining American Rescue Plan dollars.
Authorizing a $4.9 million project to resurface 6.5 miles of roads across the city and install three new traffic signals.
Consideration to a $5.2 million consulting agreement for a "Phase 2 Comprehensive General Plan Update."
Authorizing a substantial "clean up" of language in Title 19, the Zoning Code, of the Riverside Municipal Code.
Awarding a $7.5 million contract to install 1.9 miles of a new main 24-inch sewer line along Magnolia Avenue at Pierce Street.
Establishing an affordable housing trust fund to be funded by grants and 50% of land sale proceeds from most City-owned properties.

Board of Library Trustees

The Board of Library Trustees meets on Monday, March 11, at 5:00 p.m. (agenda).

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee meets on Wednesday, March 13, at 3:00 p.m. (agenda) to review plans for a business tax update and compliance review.

Commission of the Deaf

The Commission of the Deaf meets on Wednesday, March 13, at 5:30 p.m. (agenda) to review their outreach efforts.

Mobility and Infrastructure Committee

The Mobility and Infrastructure Committee meets on Thursday, March 14, at 1:00 p.m. (agenda) to discuss a 5-year plan to "enhance and beautify" Victoria Avenue and review and prioritize the list of transportation projects in the Riverside County Transportation Commission Traffic Relief Plan.
