Land Use, Sustainability, and Resilience Committee
The Land Use, Sustainability, and Resilience Committee meets on Monday, December 11, at 3:30 p.m. (agenda). The agenda includes:
- A presentation to clarify property-owner or City ownership of trees and sidewalks related to injury claims and lawsuits.
- A discussion on current and potential future regulations for short-term rentals in the city, there are approximately 300 full-home rental units.
Board of Library Trustees
The Board of Library Trustees meet on Monday, December 11, at 5:00 p.m. (agenda) for 20204 planning and an update on the forthcoming SPC Jesus S. Duran Eastside Library.
Board of Public Utilities
The Board of Public Utilities meets on Monday, December 11, at 6:30 p.m. (agenda).
City Council
City Council will meet in closed and open sessions on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, in two afternoon sessions at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. and an evening session at 6:15 p.m. (agenda). The agenda includes:
- A workshop proposing changes to the City Council's Rules of Procedure and Order of Business (examples include renaming committees, limiting cellphone usage during meetings, and reducing the number of monthly meetings).
- A transfer of $1,505,631.17 in surplus Measure A funds from the Monroe Street Resurfacing project account to the Major Streets Rehabilitation project account.
- A $574,295 amendment to an agreement with the City's contracted downtown parking structure management vendor to install new equipment in Garages 1 & 2 (though they plan to sell those properties).
- Consideration for a Blue Zones project in the City of Riverside. According to a City report, if the City sponsors 1% of the program for $208,300, it will activate a 50% matching grant valued at $10,400,000 to move the project into the fundraising stage to become a Blue Zone-certified City.
- The appeal of a Board of Ethics pre-conference decision on a Code of Ethics and Conduct complaint filed by Ben Clymer, Jr., against Councilmember Cervantes.
Financial Performance and Budget Committee
The Financial Performance and Budget Committee meets on Wednesday, December 13, at 3:00 p.m. (agenda) for the annual financial review of the City’s Self-Insurance Trust Funds.
Community Police Review Commission
The Community Police Review Commission meets on Wednesday, December 13, at 5:30 p.m. (agenda).
Mobility and Infrastructure Committee
