The Riverside Police Department (RPD) is inviting local businesses to apply for its Safety and Security Program Grants. The grants aim to assist businesses by offering up to $10,0000 in funding to enhance their safety and security measures.
The grants, which are funded through the American Rescue Plan Act, are available to small and mid-sized businesses in the City of Riverside. Businesses can use the grants for:
- Improved or new exterior lighting.
- Video camera systems.
- Landscaping or fencing that improves the safety and security of the business.
- Any other devices, structures or equipment that improves safety and security.
To be eligible for the grant, businesses must be located within the City of Riverside, have 50 or fewer employees, and have no more than 2.5 million in annual revenue.
The application process is now open and will close on March 31st. Applications can be submitted online via the Riverside Police Department’s website.
“We want to ensure that our local businesses have the resources they need to keep their employees and customers safe,” said Riverside Police Chief Larry Gonzalez. “We encourage all eligible businesses to apply for the Safety and Security Program Grants.”
