The $129 million reconfiguration aims to reduce congestion by eliminating eastbound ramps and moving them to Indiana Avenue, with construction expected to begin in 2028.
The long-awaited $129 million State Route 91 Adams Street interchange reconfiguration project is close to final approval from Caltrans after more than 20 years of planning. The project aims to address severe congestion caused by three closely spaced intersections.
Driving the news: The approved "hook ramp alternative" design eliminates eastbound on and off ramps at Adams Street, relocating them to Indiana Avenue.
