Mixed news for Lancers Soccer. The Men's WAC Tournament win streak ended with a 3-1 loss to Seattle University. Look for standout underclassmen Stavros Charalampous and goalkeeper Hugo De Rego to return next season to help lead the Lancers to another great soccer campaign.
The Women's Soccer program won the WAC Tournament and earned the conference's automatic bid for the NCAA Tournament. In the opening round of tournament play, they will face #2-ranked UCLA in Westwood. That match can be viewed tonight, November 15, on ESPN+ at 6 p.m. Let's go, Lancers!

California School for the Deaf is traveling to Carpenteria to play the CIF Division 1 Semifinal against the Cate Rams. Both teams are undefeated for the season, so this should be an incredible game. Let's Go, Cubs!
Martin Luther King High School hosts Rio Hondo Prep on Friday night for a quarterfinal contest in the CIF Division 7 bracket. Look for Senior QB Noah Cuenca (11 TD) and Senior Defensive standout Andrew Dixon (19 sacks) to lead the Wolves deeper into the playoff bracket.
Football is wrapping up for the season, but Riverside has some incredible programs in other sports that are just getting started for the year. High School Basketball, Soccer, and Girls Water Polo are all getting started with their pre-season contests, and Riverside had teams go deep into the postseason in each of those sports. Arlington High School Boy's Soccer has been a Nationally relevant program for several years. They lost a lot of great seniors but look for the "next men up" to keep the program on top.
High School and Collegiate Sports are community events open to the public. Many people's civic engagement begins in high school, and that identity carries on through adulthood. Attending these games, buying a snack or a T-shirt, or cheering on the Alma Mater or the neighbor's kid are all great ways to engage in Riverside.
