But those of us working closely with it know something different: this airport is one of Riverside’s most underutilized assets—and it’s time we change that. (Ken Crawford) Riverside’s public pools offer recreational swimming with varying schedules throughout the week. Most pools operate Monday and Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m., with evening hours Monday through Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday swimming is available at Hunt Park, Reid Park and Villegas Park from 1 to 4 p.m. There are pools in most neighborhoods across the city, and they offer a fun way to stay active and beat the heat. Riverside Parks also offers a variety of lessons and other programs at the pools alongside their open swim sessions. Admission is affordable and offers excellent value for Riverside residents.
