### City Council

City Council will meet on Tuesday, September 10, in an afternoon session at 1:00 p.m. ([agenda](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=A&ID=1227143&GUID=1AA29313-181B-4822-B6BD-6A6AE1C7231D&ref=raincrossgazette.com)). The agenda includes:

- A public hearing for the [proposed rezoning of 14.96 acres of open space](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=F&ID=13281499&GUID=6B1173A2-3E3D-4033-9AC9-D4D3C7CB1CDC&ref=raincrossgazette.com) in the Hawarden Hills into 25 residential lots.
- Officially accepting a $10 million CalRecycle Grant and awarding a contract to Anaergia Services, LLC for upgrading the Riverside Water Quality Control Plant with [equipment that converts food waste into biogas and fertilizers](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=F&ID=13281456&GUID=BE08CD19-A98D-4CC2-812D-41F0198C2814&ref=raincrossgazette.com).

### Land Use Committee
