### City Council

City Council will meet in closed and open sessions on Tuesday, July 2, in an afternoon session at 1:00 p.m. ([agenda](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=A&ID=1183886&GUID=B7A7544A-AFF0-425A-8C8A-D05EDC7AB2D3&ref=raincrossgazette.com)). The agenda includes:

- Updating the City's contract with the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) to [include retirement cost-sharing for select Police Management employees](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=F&ID=13046983&GUID=C42C0825-B0C3-44C3-B855-F5A4EE7B5736&ref=raincrossgazette.com) "as soon as administratively possible."
- Authorizing the $4.9 million [purchase of new police radio units](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=F&ID=13046978&GUID=0B083654-41D9-49CB-B3C0-56FE2A300F1D&ref=raincrossgazette.com).
- Authorizing up to $1.7 million for pool improvements at Shamel, Hunt, Reid, and Villegas Parks.

### Transportation Board

The Transportation Board meets on Wednesday, July 3, at 5:30 p.m. ([agenda](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=A&ID=1205982&GUID=5960034F-6043-4CEB-9D1E-CB07BB492FF5&ref=raincrossgazette.com)) to consider eliminating permit-required street parking on [Ferguson Court](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=F&ID=13039715&GUID=04DF4167-6AA0-4D79-8FD5-B45AC51C3946&ref=raincrossgazette.com) near La Sierra High School and on [11th Street](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=F&ID=13039724&GUID=44835A92-D77B-4AE8-9224-2B465D2438E5&ref=raincrossgazette.com) downtown.
