### City Council

City Council will meet in closed and open sessions on Tuesday, July 16, in afternoon sessions at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. ([agenda](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=A&ID=1217527&GUID=35693F88-3A0D-44D5-8C35-9637CBCBAF30&ref=raincrossgazette.com)). The agendas include:

- An [amendment to the City's contract with California Public Employees' Retirement System](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=F&ID=13220097&GUID=722C4730-E968-4C91-990A-F918BEF6D288&ref=raincrossgazette.com) (CalPERS) to increase employee retirement cost-sharing by one-half percent (0.5%) of pensionable income for police officers hired before June 13, 2012.
- Approving a $2.7 million contract for repaving approximately 27 miles of [streets across the city](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=F&ID=13220092&GUID=E3594554-4B8A-4EF5-9ED5-AF2808B9F75C&ref=raincrossgazette.com).
- A public hearing considering [numerous amendments to Title 20 of the City's municipal code](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=F&ID=13220167&GUID=C0561E78-BC08-4A74-A31A-DBF9184E7033&ref=raincrossgazette.com), which would allow properties to be designated as of historical significance without owner consent, add requirements for the demolition of historic structures, and define "demolition by neglect."

### Commission on Aging

The Commission on Aging meets on Monday, August 19, at 4:00 p.m. ([agenda](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=A&ID=1224572&GUID=E9DEC4A4-0C7F-49F5-AC44-DAEECD137D0C&ref=raincrossgazette.com)).

### Park and Recreation Commission

### Cultural Heritage Board

The Cultural Heritage Board meets on Wednesday, August 21, at 3:30 p.m. ([agenda](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=A&ID=1224544&GUID=D2C262EB-60A7-4752-83CD-6667A6843462&ref=raincrossgazette.com)) to review a proposal from All Saints Episcopal Church (Magnolia Ave and Terracina Dr) to remove a "non-original trellis" with [a new pergola with solar panels](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=F&ID=13223051&GUID=DA714FCE-BE6B-4C64-AE49-2750388826AF&ref=raincrossgazette.com) and a proposal from the City for the construction of the [new Eastside Library Building](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=F&ID=13223146&GUID=CBA5DD5D-F502-4113-8BB8-A2D3596899B3&ref=raincrossgazette.com) adjacent to the César Chávez Center.

### Economic Development Committee

The Economic Development Committee meets on Thursday, August 22, at 3:00 p.m. ([agenda](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=A&ID=1224224&GUID=36FF0126-6E01-489B-8433-ADC6FE55C585&ref=raincrossgazette.com)) to [review the City's "Table Sponsorship Policy"](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=F&ID=13217924&GUID=C26A967C-4711-46CB-AC5E-ABAA9C56BCEE&ref=raincrossgazette.com) for local events, including its ongoing agreement with the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce.

### Human Relations Commission

The Human Relations Commission meets on Thursday, August 22, at 6:00 p.m. ([agenda](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=A&ID=1224537&GUID=5F7D9FED-86AE-4253-8FB4-EC2770451D7A&ref=raincrossgazette.com)) for a presentation by the Fair Housing Council of Riverside.
