### City Council

City Council will meet in closed and open sessions on Tuesday, April 9, in afternoon sessions at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. and an evening session at 6:15 p.m. ([agenda](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=A&ID=1182394&GUID=EDA59DED-801C-4F13-9AE5-EC832C7FD9B3&ref=raincrossgazette.com)). The agenda includes:

- Authorizing the [transfer of $2 million](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=F&ID=12826773&GUID=3B49C602-82D2-4140-BA63-9DB9E890204D&ref=raincrossgazette.com) from the City's Infrastructure Reserve Fund to the Airport Fund as a 4% interest rate loan to fund new roofs on 17 airport buildings.
- Purchasing three new paramedic vehicles for the Fire Department.
- A budget update which includes reallocating $5 million from a [projected General Fund surplus](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=F&ID=12826787&GUID=6C559352-DB65-4710-BDA0-B5C9DAB3B8F0&ref=raincrossgazette.com).
- Considering the proposal for [a 22-unit affordable housing project](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=F&ID=12826791&GUID=09BC4132-A19C-4D50-8817-CAEDD96024C6&ref=raincrossgazette.com) at 11049 Bogart Avenue (a block from the "Five Points" intersection).
- Approving the renewal of the [ten-year 1.5% Water Conservation Surcharge](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=F&ID=12826717&GUID=8B9531AC-5177-4A54-ADB3-0475FA174BD3&ref=raincrossgazette.com) applied to all Riverside Public Utilities water customers.

### Commission on Aging

The Commission on Aging meets on Monday, April 15, at 4:00 p.m. ([agenda](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=A&ID=1189715&GUID=A57E2D8F-6DD3-41F4-93EA-2601E6549024&ref=raincrossgazette.com)) for a presentation on the Brown Act, which requires the discussions and decisions by public boards to happen openly and in public.

### Park and Recreation Commission

The Park and Recreation Commission meets on Monday, April 15, at 6:30 p.m. ([agenda](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=A&ID=1184439&GUID=B63EB379-88D9-4BF1-BDC4-B7C3A3991D4A&ref=raincrossgazette.com)) for a presentation from the [Southern California Golf Association](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=F&ID=12821593&GUID=7F5BDC4E-0780-4798-B5C1-411718389C25&ref=raincrossgazette.com).

### Safety, Wellness, and Youth Committee

New councilmember Sean Mill joins councilmembers Conder and Perry on the Safety, Wellness, and Youth Committee, which meets on Wednesday, April 17, at 1:00 p.m. ([agenda](https://riversideca.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=A&ID=1189197&GUID=62B26991-A531-4FFB-BE73-C204F61EF6E5&ref=raincrossgazette.com)) to review the Fire Department's contract with ambulance company AMR and a review of 2023's Fourth of July fireworks enforcement.

### Cultural Heritage Board
