Decorating for Halloween has become as much a part of the holiday season as Christmas lights. A comprehensive list would be a monumental task (with your help, we will get there), but here are a few houses around town that go big for the “BOOs.”

**Reichland Asylum**
The scariest of the group, Reichland Asylum is much more than a drive-by display. This well-prepared and meticulously produced haunted house includes scare actors and a real hearse out front in case anything goes wrong. The asylum is closed on Halloween, but there are several opportunities for the brave to experience the scares.

Reichland Asylum is at 3980 Bandini. More details can be found on their [Instagram page](https://www.instagram.com/reichlandasylum/?ref=raincrossgazette.com).

**Bellamy Place**
Bring your walking shoes. You may have to hike into Bellamy Place to see the show. Mostly commercially available inflatable decorations, but the sheer volume is impressive. An intricate light show is synchronized with a spooky soundtrack. This show is extremely popular, so plan on a crowd and be patient with the neighborhood families doing their best to make it all run smoothly.

5089 Bellamy Place; check their [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/bellamyplacelights/?ref=raincrossgazette.com) for more.

**Deer Creek Lights**
Conveniently located across from Orange Terrace Park, this light show is a synchronized sing-along with many of your favorite spooky hits. Parking is plentiful at the park and in the neighborhood, and the grassy area directly across the street from the show makes a great spot to hang out for a while. Xtreme Light Wizards produces the show, and I have learned never to take a wizard lightly.
