**Alejandro "Mano" Mirande – Ward 7 Artist in Residency**

- Meet the artist and learn about the creative process
- Presented by the Aaron Norris Creative Fund in collaboration with Ward 1 Councilman Phillip Falcone and Beautify Riverside

### The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture

- Palabra at The Cheech (doors open at 6 p.m.)
- Open mic poetry series celebrating floricanto, poesía, and spoken word
- Co-hosted by Donato Martinez
- Featured poets: Anthony Blacksher, Peter Lechuga, and Angeliza Yañez

### Riverside Art Museum (RAM)

- Free admission during ArtsWalk (6– 9 p.m.)
- ArtsWalk at RAM
  - Featuring the I.E.H.C. Exhibition in Taylor Gallery

- Richard Wright and the Chicago Black Renaissance (6– 7:30 p.m.)
- September 4 is Richard Wright's birthday celebration
- Exploring the 1930s-1940s literary movement from Chicago's South Side
- Features readings, film clips, interactive prompts, and Q&A
- Presenters: Romaine Washington, Ginger Galloway, and Richard Allen May III
