# Riverside Police launch program to locate special needs missing persons

The Riverside Police Department has launched a program to help locate missing people with special needs. The Special Needs Reunification Program (SNRP) works with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department to keep track of registered persons.

The program is designed to help police locate a lost or displaced loved one with special needs quickly and efficiently. Residents with Autism, Alzheimer’s, and Down syndrome are examples of those who might benefit from the registry.

The registry contains information such as emergency contact information, physical descriptions, photographs, communication abilities, routines, behaviors, and more.

Anyone who has a missing loved one with special needs can register them online or in person.
