Wednesday's event is free, open to the public, and kicks off what organizers hope becomes an annual tradition. **Driving the news:** Ward 1 Councilmember Phillip Falcone will formally proclaim Raincross Day during Tuesday's Council meeting, with the holiday officially launching Feb. 25 — the date Frank Miller's Raincross patent was issued. **What's happening:** The Mission Inn Foundation and Museum, 3598 Main St., hosts the opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m., featuring the debut of *Inside the Glenwood, Outside the Inn*, an exhibit marking the Glenwood's 150th anniversary and the Foundation's 50th year. - Associate Curator Arman James Agahi will discuss how the Inn's spaces have been understood — and contested — over time. - New and renewing members who sign up Wednesday receive a complimentary souvenir bell while supplies last. **What's next:** The celebration continues Saturday, Feb. 28, when Raincross Tattoo, 4027 Market St., hosts a car show from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with tattoo flash designs starting at $60\.
