A free public forum for Riverside County judicial candidates is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday at Riverside City College. Inland Empire legal news publication [*Follow Our Courts*](https://followourcourts.com/?ref=raincrossgazette.com) has partnered with RCC to present the forum, which will be held at the Digital Library Auditorium on the RCC campus.

Seven of the 10 candidates running for the four open seats will be present at the forum: Court Commissioner[ Eric Isaac](https://www.ericisaac.org/?ref=raincrossgazette.com), Deputy District Attorney[ Jason Stone](https://stoneforjudge.org/?ref=raincrossgazette.com), Deputy District Attorney [Natalie Lough](https://www.natalieloughforsuperiorcourt.com/?ref=raincrossgazette.com), criminal defense attorney [Richard Swanson](https://attorneyswanson.com/?ref=raincrossgazette.com#attorneys), Deputy District Attorney[ Kristi Kirk](https://kristikirkforjudge.com/?ref=raincrossgazette.com), Deputy District Attorney [Francisco Navarro](https://www.navarroforjudge.com/?ref=raincrossgazette.com), criminal defense attorney [Christopher Whelton](https://wheltonlaw.com/index.html?ref=raincrossgazette.com), Court Commissioner [Laura Garcia](https://lauragarciaforjudge.com/home?ref=raincrossgazette.com) and Deputy District Attorney Jay Kiel.

In a recent column, *Follow Our Courts* Executive Editor Toni Momberger urged voters to learn more about judicial candidates.

“Most people outside of the legal industry do not do any research,” wrote Momberger. “Of those that do, most just do a quick online search to see if they are reputed to lean politically similar. Many people do not vote for judges at all.”

Twenty-six incumbents are running unopposed, and have not been invited to participate.
