(Ken Crawford) Laundry Love Riverside, a volunteer organization staffed by members of All Saints Episcopal Church (and some friends), is making a significant impact on the lives of local families. On the third Wednesday of each month, the group takes over Rachel's Lavenderia in the Stater Bros. shopping center on Iowa Avenue, offering free laundry services to anyone in need. This service allows individuals and families to wash and dry up to six loads of laundry at no cost, alleviating some of the financial burden and the tough choices that result. Liz Atkinson, the event organizer, highlights the importance of this service, stating, "Sometimes families have to make difficult choices with limited resources. We ensure they have clean clothes."
