Egg prices have risen sharply over the last two weeks. Supply issues resulting from a bird flu outbreak on the East Coast have eggs at a dollar a piece or more in many local stores. Many stores have difficulty keeping eggs in stock, even at very high prices.

Meños Farms on Van Buren and Victoria produce organic eggs from hens raised on-site and at the family farm off Cajalco Road. Lupe of Meños Farms says that they have been able to keep eggs in stock but have noticed an increase in sales as traditional grocers struggle to keep up with demand.
