Anisa Escobedo has [announced her campaign](https://anisaescobedo.com/?ref=raincrossgazette.com) for City Council’s Ward 3 seat in the 2024 election. Her entrance to the race positions her against [Warren Avery](https://www.raincrossgazette.com/2024-election-warren-avery-announces-run-for-ward-3-city-council-seat/) and [Steven Robillard](https://www.raincrossgazette.com/2024-election-steven-robillard-is-second-to-announce-run-for-ward-3-city-council-seat/), who are also running to represent Ward 3.

Escobedo is an appointee to the California State Independent Living Council, a Pick Group of Young Professionals member, and owns a design business in Corona.

“Being a person with disabilities, transgender female, experiencing homelessness, and building a successful company from the ground up,” said Escobedo, “It is my hope that I will be able to work with the city to shape policy, address critical issues, and offer personal insight into some of our greatest challenges.”
